10-Week Accessibility Challenge

About 1 in 4 adults (26%) in the U.S. have some type of disability, including issues with mobility, cognition, hearing, and vision. Many members of our own community face barriers because of the way information is structured or delivered. Each of us has the power to change that, and we all play a role in ensuring that the college fosters an inclusive digital environment.

Join the 10-Week Accessibility Challenge and learn how to make your websites, documents, presentations and courses more inclusive. Each week, we’ll present a challenge focused on a different aspect of digital accessibility. After completing all 10 challenges, you’ll earn a digital badge to add to your email signature.

The summer challenge starts on May 28 and runs until July 30; expect to spend 15-20 minutes per week on each challenge.

Thank you for championing digital accessibility and making a difference!

FAQ

Question: “Where do I enter my answers or task results?”

Answer: You don’t need to report your answers. The questions within each task are there to encourage you to think about things from a different perspective. We trust you’ll do that.

Q: “How do I show that I’ve completed all the challenges and earn a digital badge at the end?”

A: After the 10-Week Challenge has concluded, we will send out a Google Form to confirm you’ve completed the challenges, and you’ll receive a digital badge.
